J. C. Williamson was born in Texas on February 2, 1932, the son of Tommie Williamson and Vinnie Galloway.
At an early age, he attended Grayson Chapel. In 1951, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country honorably during teh Korean War.
In March of 1955, he united in marriage to Alva Loyce Thompson. He provided for his family through his employment for FlintCo Construction Company, where he worked for 25 years before his retirement.
Later in life, he joined the Masonic Lodge, and was a member of American Legion.
Mr. Williamson was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed to wolf hunt and help other people.
On Thursday, December 24, 2009, God called him home to rest and not to be weary or troubled anymore. He joined in Heaven, his mother and father, two brothers and two sisters, as well as four children, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Williamson leaves to cherish his memory; his wife of 55 years, Alva Loyce Williamson, of the home in Beggs, Oklahoma; five children, Donnie,of Beggs, Faleshia & Terry, Oklahoma City, Charlotte, Beggs, Kellie & Fredrick, Mississippi, Ricky & Carla, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a caravan of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and a life-long friend, Bob Martin.
The farewell will be on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church-South. Dr. Maurice Williams, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in New Post Oak Cemetery in Beggs.
