Jacquelyn Gwendle [Reed] King was granted "Angel Wings" on Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Jacquelyn's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the short amount of time.
Jacquelyn Gwendle Reed was born on August 2, 1952 in Oktaha, Oklahoma to Virgil and Georgia Reed. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age. Jacquelyn attend Historic Manual Training High School, where she participated in the marching band as head Majorette.
She obtained her L.P.N. nursing license and worked as a nurse for many years and also worked diligently as a Program Coordinator at Volunteers of America for many years until she changed her profession and decided to open her own home daycare. She was a single mother who worked hard to give her three daughters a good life.
She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Reed, Sr., her daughter, Sabrina Hitchye and her son-in-law, Jason Woodfaulk. Remaining to cherish her precious memory; her loving mother, Georgia Reed; her two daughters, Tonya Hitchye and Tiffany Woodfaulk, all of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her three brothers, Ronnie Reed, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Virgil Reed, Jr., TUlsa, Oklahoma and Bobby [Marsha] Reed, Muskogee, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Memorial Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Mark Baptist Church in Muskogee.
