James Roy Dan was born July 12, 1950 to William Gano Dan, Sr. and Tressie Lee Palmer Dan in Pierce, Oklahoma. He departed this life in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 10, 2013. James received his formal education at the Pierce and Checotah Public Schools. He accepted Christ during his teenage years and was baptized by the late Rev.
