Obituary

James Fields Jr. was born in Wichita, Kansas on April 3, 1952 to Mr. James Fields Sr. and Mrs. Ethel Clara Fields. He grew up in Oklahoma City, OK and later moved to Bristow, OK where he attended and graduated from Bristow High School. He enjoyed playing basketball. James later moved to Tulsa, OK where he worked various occupations, mainly construction work and also attended school at Climate Control Institute. James was a Veteran in the United States Marine Corps. He was loving and very humorous. James loved spending time with his family and friends, he was a very artistic man and loved to draw pictures for his children, he also loved to listen to music and share "teachable moments" with his children. James was very knowledgeable, he loved to research different topics he found were interesting and needed more insight. While in Oklahoma City, he spent a lot of time with his first cousin Larry Burden, who helped and supported James. He then moved to Tulsa, OK with the help of his son Marcus and his brother Isaac To the home of Alisa Johnson, the mother of his two children, Jamesha and Najee where he spent the last days of his life spending quality time with his family and expressed how grateful and blessed he was for being able to do so. James passed on Feb 11th, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Fields Sr. and Ethel Clara Fields, his son Anthony Dwayne Crawford (Sapulpa, OK) his brother Michael Fields (Oklahoma City) his sister Carolyn Garland (Los Angeles, CA) his uncle Bob Burden (Tulsa, OK) his aunt June Burden (Oklahoma City, OK) and Travis Fields (California). He leaves to cherish his loving memory with his two handsome sons, Marcus Fields (Tulsa, OK) and Najee Fields (Tulsa, OK) and his 1 beautiful daughter Jamesha Fields (Tulsa, OK) Mother of his two youngest children, Alisa Johnson (Tulsa, OK) Three brothers, Isaac Fields (Tulsa, OK) Reggie Fields (Oklahoma City, OK) and Victor Fields (Texas) two sisters, Maggie Fields (Bristow, OK) and Maple Fields (Tulsa, OK) his 7 grandchildren, Stephanie and Jalena Crawford (Anthony) and 5 granddaughters (Marcus) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunties, family and friends. James was a sweet and loving father, brother, and friend. James will be missed greatly but never forgotten by his family and friends.

Memorial Services for Mr. Fields will be Saturday March 2, 2019 at 1PM inside Biglow's All Faiths Chapel in Tulsa.
