Obituary

It all began in Kosciusko, Mississippi, when Bertha "B.W." Wytch and Virginia [Rayford] Wytch celebrated the birth of a baby boy on October 11, 1932. He was named James Wytch.


James attended school there in Mississippi through the Sixth grade, however, during his early childhood, he left Mississippi with his dad, "B.W." and came to Oklahoma, He spent the remainder of his life in Oklahoma and became a member of the First Baptist Church-South in 2002.


Mr. Wytch worked many different jobs during his lifetime to provide for his family, including work as a butcher and a truck driver.


In his 78th year, James Wytch surrendered to the will of the Lord on Saturday, January 29, 2011 from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his father's second wife, Evelyn Washington Wytch, who was the only mother he ever knew; and his children, Velva Lean Wytch and James Wytch Jr.


He leaves behind to cherish his memory; his wife, Vera Ann [Irvin] Wytch; his children and step-children, Geraldine Wytch, Cynthia Wytch Samuels, Sharlet Wytch Johnson, Harvey Lee Daily and Edith Daily [JJohnny] Tunley; his siblings, Roxie James, John Charles Wytch, Joe [Ruby] Wytch, Linda [Keith] Wytch-Moreaux and Thomas Wytch; his grandchildren, Angela Wytch Sutton, Camisha Ross [Ronald] Marcus McCall, Sr., Solomon Randall Hill, Crystal Parks [Morris] Goree, Dominic [Lisa] Fontane Wytch, Sr., Montel Johnson, DeAundra Dunn, Kanitra Dunn and Tonnette Dunn; his great-grandchildren, April Monea Wytch, Donisha Carter, Dominique Ross, Dinashia Ross, Marcus McCall, Jr., and Whitney McCall; his great-great-grandchildren, Airiana Leanne Heard, Markell Ross, Janesha Ross, Aniyah Dunn, Saiya Dunn, Symone Goree, Solomon Khyall Hill, Kahliyl Solomon Hill, Dominic Fontane Wytch, Jr., and Ann Elyissa Wytch.; along with other relatives and friends.


The Hour of Remembrance will commence on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church-South of Beggs, Oklahoma. Dr. Maurice Williams, Pastor, will preside.

You may visit Mr. Wytch on Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM at the funeral home in Okmulgee.
