Mrs. Jamesetta Denise Payne made her Earthly Transition on August 2, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

On May 11, 1958, a beautiful baby girl was born to the loving parents of James Harold and Estella Duncan. They decided to name their baby girl Jamesetta Denise Duncan, better known to family and friends as "Denise" or "Neicy". Jamesetta grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma where she attended Douglas Elementary, Saddler Jr High, and graduated from Muskogee High School Class of 1976.

Later in life, she met and married Otis Ray Payne Sr and in their union, they produced three children (Deon, Shay and Nesheia). Shortly after having their second child, she moved to OKC to work as a bill collector and raise her children.

Denise cherished her family and friends. She was a very loving mother and grandmother that would do anything for the people she loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Estella & Harold Duncan, her late husband Otis Ray Payne Sr, her mother-in-law Mae Katherine Cole, her brother Antonio Duncan, her sister Deonga Duncan, her sister Patricia Pettit Edwards, her brother Marcus Jones, her stepson Otis Ray Payne Jr, her biological father Harry Chapel, and stepbrother Keith Chapel.

Those left to cherish her memory: her 3 children, Antoine D. Bradley (Brandon, FL), ShayQuaina R. Payne (Oklahoma City, OK), Marranesheia Q. Payne-Abdullah (Kaleem) (Brandon, FL) 3 stepchildren; Demecio A. Payne, Mekeion A. Payne (Melissa), Quiana E. Payne all of Muskogee OK. Her sister Shirlene Wright (Oklahoma City OK), her brother Byron Chapel (EL Reno), her brother Leslie Chapel (Clearwater FL), her brother Michael Chapel (Dallas TX), a special nephew Jamesallen Wright (Oklahoma City, OK), niece Malisa Wright (Oklahoma City Ok), a special grandson Amari Minnifield, 3 special granddaughters; Day'Nyzhia Payne, Ava Abdullah, and Heaven Atkins, 20 more grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends who will forever miss her presence.


A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Payne will commence on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM in The Antioch Church, Dr. Marlon J. Coleman is the gracious host and Reverend Steve Rucker, Pastor of Elohim Love Center Fellowship Church will officiate.  Burial will follow the service in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee.
