On a beautiful September morning, God blessed Laura Sims and Calvin  Freeman with a beautiful bouncing baby boy. Jammie Eugene Teague was born on September 9, 1973, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Although he was born in Muskogee, Jammie grew up in the All Black Town of Taft, Oklahoma.  He attended Taft Public Schools and graduated from Moton High School in the Class of 1991.

Jammie left Oklahoma and relocated to Kansas City, Missouri.  While in Kansas City, he worked for Harley Davidson.

Loving his family, Jammie was the father of seven children and he loved each one individually and collectively. He had a smile that could light up a room and a heart that could love endlessly.  Jammie had a special place in his heart for dogs.

Mr. Jammie Eugene Teague, Sr., in his 49th year of life, departed this life on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Meeting Jammie at heaven's gate will be his father, Calvin Freeman; brother Michael Sims; sister, Aleethia Mabin; son, Jammie Teague Jr.; grandparents, LD and Gladys Teague, Eddie and Lorine Fisher;  aunt Roslyn and uncle Benjamin Sims.

Remembering his smile, his love and his legacy will be his mother, Laura Sims; children, Tristen, Artasia, Jaylen, Jammia, Jamonte, Jaleon, and Zhaiy; grandchildren, Bralen, Jammiesha, Brielle, Arnlya, Kaylen, Jay'Lani, Ja'Seion, and Jersey; brothers, Charles Teague, Jr. and Derrick Walker; stepfather, Charles Teague Sr. and Theodore Wallace; nephews,  Harold and John, nieces Michelle and Jade; brother in-law, Harold Mabin Sr. and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The Final Tribute for Mr. Jammie Eugene Teague Sr., will commence on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the most holy sanctuary of First Baptist Church- Taft.

You may visit Mr. Teague, as he slumbers in peaceful repose at the funeral home in Muskogee on Friday, June 30, 2023 between the hours of 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

You may also visit Mr. Teague on Saturday at the Church, beginning at 1:00 PM until 1:50 PM.

The Christian Committal will take place following the services in the Warrior Cemetery west of Checotah.
