Obituary

Mrs. Jeanetta M. Spencer-Maxwell, after 78 years with us, "received her Crown" on Monday, December 7, 2009 from Muskogee.

It all began in Porter, Oklahoma, when John Lee and Margaret Trimble were blessed with a daughter on September 18, 1931. She was named Jeanetta Marcil.

This precious baby girl spent her formative years learning life's lessons and developing into a beautiful young woman.

She became a wonderful Mother and Grandmother over time. She loved cooking, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. Kind spirited and loving, many children were comfortable being around her, where she fed and cared for many, as if they were her own. She welcomed everyone into her home, where she met no strangers. A woman with a heart of Gold, she will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Jeanetta had a personal relationship with God, serving the Lord as a member of Bethel African Methodist Epsicopal Church for over Fifty Years. After 78 seasons of beautiful memories, Jeanetta Marcil Spencer-Maxwell "received her Crown" from the victory of life. She was met in Heaven by her mother, Margaret Kimble, her husband, Lois V. Maxwell, her son, Alonzo "Bobo" Spencer, her brothers, Walter Willie B. Trimble, Jesse L. Trimble, Freddy L. Trimble, and her sister, Inella Kimble Davis.

Those that wait on the Lord and have accepted the challenge of continuing her legacy; her children, Rosie Clemons, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jessie Spencer, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Loria Sheppard, Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, Phyllis Maxwell, Taft, Oklahoma, Lois Vaugh Cosby [Ray], Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Margaret Ford [John], Muskogee, Oklahoma, Ronnie [Michelle] Maxwell, Muskogee, Michael Maxwell, Oklahoma City, Kenneth [Diane] Maxwell Tyrone Maxwell and Derrick [Christine] Maxwell, all of Muskogee; children she raised, Stevie, Renett, Renee, Tomica, Tasha and Allen; her siblings, Nathaniel Trimble, Reba Moses, Deloris Daniels, Margaret Love, Patricia Marshall, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sunshine Ivy, Wagoner, Oklahoma, Ellen Bradley, Oklahoma City and Linda Eaton-Stephens, Bedford, Texas; and a caravan of other relatives and friends.
