IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeff "J.M."
Allen
July 11, 1931 – April 28, 2014
To the union of Willie and Patsy Allen a son was born on July 11, 1931 in the town of Wynnewood, Oklahoma. The couple named him Jeff Milton Allen. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at a young age. He attended Wynnewood Public Schools where he graduated from Lincoln High School in the class of 1952. "J.M." as he was affectionately called, also played semi-professional baseball before being deployed to serve his country in the United States Army, earning the Purple Heart.
He later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and was employed by Fred Jones Ford, and married his first wife Madie Strong. To this union, two daughters were born: Cynthia and Harriet Allen. It was during this time that he became a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of South Haven, the Community where he resided, and served for years as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, and also sang in the choir. He was later employed by the United States Post Office for over 30 years before retiring.
On March 8, 1975 he was united in marriage to Bernice Brewer at which time, his children and her children became their children. This union was blessed with 30 years of devoted of love. In 1979 they moved to North Tulsa and became dedicated members of Galilee Baptist Church. There he served faithfully as Chairman of the Deacon Board, Superintendent of Sunday School, and was a member of the Brotherhood Chorus until the loss of his soul mate, Bernice. Shortly afterward, his health began to fail.
On April 28, 2014 the Lord called him Home to reunite with the love of his life, Bernice.
