Jeff's Journey of Life

On March 17, 1956 a baby boy was born to Rosa Lee Beeks and Mack Gooden in Los Angeles, California. They named him Jeffery Gooden.  He grew up alongside 12 siblings, six brothers: Donnie, Ronald, Ricky, Kenny, Randy, and Early, six sisters: Lenora, Rosanna, Patricia, Gloria, Kathy, and Debra.  He graduated from Bethune High School in Los Angeles.

In 1978, he moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma.  There, he met his wife Chestine Revels in 1987.  With the union came eight children in addition to Paul and Savanna:  Paul, Aaron, Niesha, Mercedes, Jamal, Keyonna, Kristy, Christopher, and Miranda whom he loved dearly.  Also cherishing his precious memories are his grandchildren, Gary, Demarion, Ladereon, La'Daveion, Raniah, Jermill, DaNylon, Katheryn, Lamonica, D'Neko, Neveah, Queen, Kassius, Divine, Jeffery, Jr. (Deuce), and Na'Liyah.  Those preceding him in death are his parents, five siblings: Anna, Lenora, Gloria, Kenny, Ricky, and son Paul.

Jeff was a well-known man, who everyone looked up to.  He always carried himself in a positive manner.  He was a very happy and outgoing person whom accepted everyone and loved all.  He dedicated his life to church and made sure his family was well taken care of.  Hard working, and genuine, he never met a stranger.  He came into our lives to help us to become the person God set out for us to be, he will be missed and loved dearly.  He is a very unforgettable person and we will cherish him forever.

Services will be Monday January 9, 2017 at 11AM at Greater Union Baptist Church in Tulsa.

Interment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens in Skiatook, Oklahoma.

Friends may visit Mr. Gooden on Sunday from 2PM until 6PM in Tulsa.
