In Muskogee, Oklahoma, a beautiful baby girl was born on January 21, 1962. She was given the name Jennifer Tara McClain.
She grew up in Muskogee and attended school here, ultimately graduating from Muskogee High School with the class of 1980.
Jennifer worked in Food Service for Tulsa Public Schools and loved to cook and spend time with her family. She was loving and dedicated to her family.
In her 44th season, Jennifer surrendered her soul to Jesus on April 15, 2006 from Norman, Oklahoma.
She leaves a beautiful memory in the hearts of her family; her children, CheVaughn McClain Capers[ Demarko] and Brandon [Brandy] Mayfield, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her fiance', Carl Roseborough, Norman, Oklahoma; her mother, Ethel McJunkin, Muskogee, Oklahoma; her father, Billy Franklin, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her adopted father, Willie McJunkin, Muskogee, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Montavion Mayfield and Tristan Capers; her sisters, Aretha "Vet" Clayton [Rufus Bias], Jawanna Snoddy [Ronald], all of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Edie McJunkin, Muskogee, Oklahoma and Mary Cain, Omaha, Nebraska; a brother, David Staley, Muskogee, Oklahoma; 12 nieces and nephews; and a caravan of other relatives and friends.
The final tributes to Ms. McClain will be shared on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Greater Rayfield Baptist Church. Rev. Leroy Walker, Sr., the gracious host pastor and Rev. Fred Roseborough, Officiating. Burial will follow in Booker T. Washington Cemetery. You may visit Jennifer, as she slumbers at the Keith D.
