Jesse James Ramsey, Jr. entered this world January 15, 1953. He was the 1 ^st son born to Jessie James and Ruby Lee (Simpkins) Ramsey.  As tradition would have it, he was affectionately called Junior by his family throughout his life.

Jesse was affiliated with the Holiness Church at an early age and remained a true believer of Christ until the end. His education was provided through the Oklahoma City, IXL and Boley Public school systems.  He met and later married Teresa Sanders who remained from that day until his last days one of his closest friends.  Their union was blessed with three children, Shalanda Irene, Stacy Latoya and Jesse James III.

He led a simple life, he was a humble man with a quiet manner and gentle speech, who loved his family, loved the country life, his solitude and his dogs.  He was never lonely as long as he had something to read and was a devoted reader of the Holy Bible.

Jesse learned to work hard as a young man and that work ethic follow him throughout his life. He was a member of the labor union and later retired as a licensed Medical Administration Technician for Boley Residential Care Center.

Jesse departed this life the same as he lived, quietly without fanfare, surrounded by his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two newborn sisters.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his children: Shalanda (Joe) Orange, Stacy Ramsey and Jesse Ramsey, III.  Eleven Grandchildren: Trevon Ramsey, Theodore Berry, Jaylon Orange, Sha'Mya Orange, Naliyah Moore, Brooklyn King, Jesse James Ramsey, IV, Camryn Ramsey, Tanaya Wilkes, Syncere Savoyae Ramsey and Essej Semaj Ramsey. Two Sisters: Betty Henderson-Galloway and Esther Ramsey. Three Brothers:  Eddie Ramsey, Floyd (Pamler) Ramsey and Kenneth Ramsey. One Aunt: Lovie Sewell.  One Uncle: Thomas (Patsy) Simpkins and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

Services for Mr. Jesse Ramsey, Jr. will be Saturday February 4, 2023 at 1PM at Full Gospel Non-Denominational Church in Boley.

Interment will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery in Boley.
