Obituary

Jimmy Milan Griffin was born in Bixby, Oklahoma on February 16, 1952 to Kermit and Dorothy [Jordan] Griffin. He grew up in Haskell, Oklahoma, where he attended school until the 10th grade at Booker T. Washington School. He then attended Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

After School, he worked for the Coors Company in Colorado and later at American Foundry and also for Litter Byer Can Company in Bixby, Oklahoma.

Jimmy married the love of his life, Mary Ruth Hall in 1974 and they remained united in Holy matrimony until his death. He loved to fish, BBQ, spending time with his family and was quite the conversationalist. He enjoyed mowing lawns for everyone and was always lending a helping hand. He loved his wife and was a homebody when he wasn't working. He also enjoyed sports, particularly boxing and other sports as well.

He was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Haskell. He served the Lord faithfully in the Choir, as a Deacon and was also a Sunday School Teacher. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, Jimmy Milan Griffin, in his 67th year with us,  transitioned from Labor to Refreshment from Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Wanda Brooks- Lawrence and other relatives who passed on before him.
