JoAnn Brewster was born on July 19, 1947, she was the beloved daughter of Lottie Mae Macon-Clemons and Sloke J. Clemons Sr.

JoAnn was a strong and resilient individual who overcame many challenges in her life. A proud graduate of Manual Training High School in Muskogee, Oklahoma, JoAnn pursued a career in healthcare. She began her professional journey at Optical Eye Care in Dallas, Texas, before later retiring as a certified nurse aide at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home.

Ms. JoAnn Brewster, formerly JoAnn Clemons, passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 78.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Brewster, and her son from her first marriage. She also mourned the loss of her sisters Imogene Clemons and Louise Clemons-Ivy, as well as her brothers Sloke J Clemons Jr, Lloyd Clemons, Larry Clemons, Ricky Clemons, and Gene Clemons.

JoAnn will be deeply missed by her surviving sister, Joyce Elaine Clemons-Sanders, her close friend Bernard Donald Schoats, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Her cremation under the auspices of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., Muskogee.
