Obituary

On October 20, 1972 a beautiful baby boy was born to Shelia Dean and Clyde Thompson Sr. in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They named him Jody Lee Dean.

At an early age, Jody attended Muskogee Public Schools before later moving to Tulsa. He was raised in South Haven and attended Tulsa Public Schools. He graduated from Daniel Webster High School with the class of 1992.

As a young boy Jody gave his life to Christ and continued his walk with the Lord; he was a faithful member of World Won for Christ Outreach Ministries, Inc.

Jody, who was also known as $ango, was loved by everyone that came in contact with him and he never met a stranger. All it took was meeting him one time, his joking personality and warm smile would light up any room and leave a memorable impression. Jody was a very hard worker and taught many neighborhood kids the value of hard work. Jody was a pillar in his community; he helped single Moms, widows, elderly, and anyone who needed a helping hand. Jody was a jack of all trades. Jody loved his family and was an awesome provider. Jody loved horses and attending rodeos. If he wasn't working or at a rodeo you could find him on a bank catching fish.

Jody met the love of his life in 2005, Michele Cherry. He was captivated by her and asked for her hand in marriage. They were married in 2006. From this union, a beautiful, baby girl was born, they named her Jordyn Leigh Dean. The love Jody has for Michele will forever remain in her heart.

On July 8, 2018 Jody was called home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his father Clyde Thompson Sr., Aunt Darlene and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

Those who remain to cherish his memory, Jody leaves behind his wife, Michele Cherry-Dean; his mother Shelia Jeffries-Fields; his children and grandchildren;  a host of siblings, and a caravan of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and many others who were like family to him.
