Mr. Joel Hubert White, after 58 years, passed from Labor to Reward on Monday afternoon, December 7, 2020 from a Tulsa Hospital.
Mr. Joel Hubert White's life began in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on April 1st, 1962 to Ms. Lorene Behn and Mr. Joe Hubert White.
At an early age Joel joined New Salem Baptist church and was baptized. He attended Okmulgee High School and later moved to Tulsa, where he went to McClain and graduated with the class of 1980.
After High School, he joined the United States Army and served his time in Germany.
Joel was a person full of life, who in his spare time enjoyed watching football and his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. He loved to dance and spend time with his five grandchildren who he dearly loved.
Joel was preceded in death by his mother, Ms. Lorene Behn, his father, Mr. Joe Hubert White, his brother, Austin Behn, his sister, Delisa Anna Mason and his grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Teresa Jackson his fiancé of the home, two daughters Jalesa White (Tulsa, Ok) and Enfinity Scott (Dallas, Tx); three step-daughters , Keda, Sherida and Raven all of (Tulsa, Ok); two brothers, Rev. Joseph D. Behn (Angie) of (Kansas City, Mo) and Lonnie James White of (Tulsa, Ok); one sister, Sharon O'Neal (Okmulgee, Ok); three aunts, Hartense L. Behn (Okmulgee, Ok), Alberta Behn (Okmulgee, Ok) and Winnie Mae Anderson (Denver, Co); one uncle, Rev. Eli Behn Sr. (Patricia) along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Service of Memory for Joel will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the most holy sanctuary of the New Salem Baptist Church. The Pastor, Pastor Harold White, will Preside and Reverend Joseph Behn will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Okmulgee.
