On February 21, 1945, in Haskell, Oklahoma, a handsome, baby boy was born to Angenetti and Fred Bryant, Sr. They named this bundle of joy John Henry Bryant.
John grew up and attended school in Haskell. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted
husband, father and grandfather.
John was a very intelligent, hard working man who knew how to do a little bit of everything. He was a "Jack of all trades." God blessed him with the wisdom to start his
own business, "Bryant Concrete Construction," which was successful for over 25 years.
Mr. Bryant enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved spending time with his four grandsons. There was nevera a dull moment when he and his grandsons got together.
On March 10, 2014, John Henry Bryant, Sr., in his 69th year, was called home to be with the Lord. His mother, father and brother, Fred Bryant, Jr., preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory; his devoted wife of 35 years, Edna Bryant, of the home in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; his son, John Bryant, Jr.; two daughters, Sherry and Tia Sallis; four grandsons; Keyonte', Deonte', Javonte' and Treonte' Sallis, all of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; a brother, Donald Ray [Mary] Bryant, Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Ruth Foster, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Anna M. Bryant, Ft. Washington, Maryland; along with a caravan of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will all miss him dearly.
The Final Hour with Mr. Bryant will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of Fort Gibson. Reverend Walter Brown, Jr., will officiate. Burial will follow in the Haskell Cemetery.
You may visit Mr. Bryant, as he slumbers in peaceful repose at the funeral home on Friday from 12 Noon until 6 PM.
