Obituary
Mr. John H. Hill, Sr., in his 78th year, surrendered his soul on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from his home in Okmulgee.
Mr. Hill was born in Okmulgee on February 23, 1933, the son of Clemmie Hill, Sr., and Rose mary [Simms] Hill. He grew up and attended school in Okmulgee, graduating from Historic Dunbar High School with the Class of 1953.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army, and before returning to Okmulgee around 2005, he lived in Bakersfield, California and Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
He was a self-employed carpenter by trade and a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Okmulgee. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing domino's, cooking and BBQ, fishing and socializing.
He leaves behind; his wife, Daisy Hill, Bakersfield, CA; his children, John Hill, Jr., Angela Asberry, Janet Hill and Sheila Hill, all of Tulsa, OK; his father, Clemmie Hill, Sr., Okmulgee; his brother, Clemmie Hill, Jr., Spencer, OK; his sister, Rae Ann Wilson, Okmulgee, OK; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Services will be private.
