Mr. John A. Jones, Jr., in his 67th year, transitioned from Earth to Everlasting on Monday night, January 18, 2016 from Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Mr. Jones was born in Mounds, Oklahoma on August 4, 1948, the son of John Arthur and Ruby Lee [Walker] Jones, Sr. He attended Wheatley School in Beggs, and lived there most of his life. He relocated to Okmulgee and had lived here sin 1997.

Mr. Jones served his country honorably in the United States Army and worked as a laborer during his lifetime.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Prince and Duke Jones.

He leaves to lament his death; siblings, Herman Jones, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Theodore [Reecie] Jones, Carl Jones and Arthur Jones, all of Beggs, Oklahoma, Inola Jones, Arbedella Clay, Esther Jones and Viola [Gary] Hill, all of Okmulgee; along with other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

The Family will receive friends during the visitation on Monday, from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM.

There will be a graveside ceremony on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 1:00 PM at The National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
