John Morris, Jr., arrived on January 7, 1979 in Muskoge, Oklahoma. Better known to family and friends as "J.J.", he grew up in Muskogee and attended the Muskogee Public schools; first Sadler Elementary, then West Middle School and ultimately Muskogee High School, where he graduated with the Class of 1997.

J.J. attended the 18th and Denison Church of Christ as a child before moving to Denver, Colorado in 1998. In Denver, J. J. worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail handler.

In 1997, he met Jaiese Edwards. Their love blossomed into Holy Matrimony in 2000.

J. J. was an active family man. He loved spending time with his wife and daughter vacationing. He lived life to the fullest. His hobbies included Golf, Pool, Fishing, Football Games, lifting weights, video games and riding horses in the mountains. His favorite team was the Indianapolis Colts, where his brother-in-law plays.

In his 27th year, John Morris, Jr., surrendered his soul on March 24, 2006 in Gilpin County, near Denver, Colorado.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his devoted wife, jaise Morris, of the home in Denver, Colorado; his precious daughter, Jonaiyah; his parents, Debra McJunkins and John Irving Morris, both of Muskogee, Oklahoma; his grandparents, Lovie Morris and Christing Whitaker; his brother, Deon Morris, Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sisters, Markuita Morris, Checotah, Oklahoma and Ashley McJunkins, Muskogee, Oklahoma; along with a caravan of other relatives and many friends.
