Mr. John Henry Robinson, after "Three-score and Ten Years", made his transition from "Earth to Everlasting" on Wednesday morning, February 10, 2016 from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Youngest child born in Oktaha, Oklahoma, John Henry was the son of Zack and Celesta [Johnson] Robinson. He grew up in Oktaha and attended New Hope grade school, Junior High School and ultimately graduated from Historic Manual Training High School in Muskogee with the Class of 1963. After high school, he attended Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee, earning his certification as a Mechanical Technician.
During his lifetime, John was a Farmer, but also worked for City Chevrolet for 10 years and later retired from Georgia Pacific after 21 years of service.
Mr. Robinson met and later married Joyce Ann Palmer and their union produced John Edward Robinson, Keeneth Carlis Jr., and Donetta London. This marriage was later dissolved, but they remained friends.
Later, he met and married Charlene Norman. John enjoyed fishing and hunting, complete with "stories" about his skills fishing the "big" fish he caught, or almost caught. He always had a story to tell and was quite the jokester. He was very sociable and well-liked by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. He would tell you the truth, whether you wanted to hear it or not. Although out-going, he was a humble man. He used to want to be a Cowboy and loved going to Rodeos. He trained horses and rode Bulls and Bareback.
Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory; his loving wife, Charlene Robinson, of the home in Muskogee; his son, John Edward [Jennifer]Robinson; his grandchildren, Zackary, Azia, Darnell, Anecia and Ahmir; a great-grandson, Kayden' his loving sister, Mary Ella [Steven] Russell; his step-son, Jason [Cristina] Johnson; his step-daughter, Felicia Ellis; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends.
