Obituary

Johnnie Mae Goodwin was born July 22, 1937 to the union of Jahue and Charlesetta Darwin. She attended and graduated from Tulsa Booker T. Washington High School, St. Francis School of nursing, Draughn School of Business and Tulsa Junior College. With her education, she became an employee of St. Francis Hospital, AMOCO Oil Company and Oklahoma Natural Gas Company, where she retired.

She joined Grace Apostolic Temple where she began serving the body of Christ in various capacities, attaining the service ministry of Evangelist. She continued in this service ministry, striving for excellence in all areas of living, exemplifying professionalism, style, dignity and grace in her spiritual walk.

She later married E.L. Goodwin II, and remained by his side until his home going on July 25, 2014. Also preceding Johnnie in going home were her parents, Jahue and Charlesetta Darwin, brothers, Anthony Darwin Sr. and Ronell Darwin Sr., and her sister, Charles Marie Harding. Memories of Johnnie Mae Goodwin remain with Wilbert Darwin, Maude Mae (Duchess) Jones, Alfred Darwin Sr., and Charles Merle Darwin, along with her children, Kenneth E. Taylor Sr., Will R. Taylor, Sharon D. Taylor Hill, with Gregory Goodwin, Sabrina Monday, and Regina Goodwin. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends will also cherish memories of her and continue her legacy.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Johnnie Goodwin will be Saturday April 11, 2015 at 2PM at Greater Grace Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Floral arrangements will be accepted on Friday from 10AM until 7PM in Tulsa.
