Obituary

 

On April 10, 1934 A baby girl was born to John Allen Phillips and Idella Queen Phillips in Okmulgee County. She was named Johnnie Mae Phillips.
She attended Rosenwall School where she graduated.


Johnnie was blessed with a child, Don Edward Jr. Turner. Don was the joy of her life.


She was a member of Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church led by Pastor James Melton. She worked faithfully in Sunday school and mission programs. Johnnie was also a member of the Della Circle Outreach program.


Johnnie closed her eyes on earth August 18, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, and several siblings.


Johnnie leaves in God's care her beloved brothers Earl Bowmen of Tulsa, Oklahoma & James A. Phillips Sr & wife (Edna) of Beggs, Oklahoma and a host of nieces and nephews.

A longtime resident of Nuyaka, Oklahoma, a graveside ceremony will be shared on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Nuyaka Cemetery.

You may visit her on Friday from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., in Okmulgee.
