Obituary

Joseph "Wesley" Moman was born to Artemus and Betty [Oliver] Moman on July 31, 1929 in Red Bird, Oklahoma.

Wesley, as he was mostly called, attended Saint Monica Catholic School and Tulsa Public Schools. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School with the Class of 1947.

After graduation, he united in Holy Matrimony to Essie Mae Clark and from this union, four children were born.

Wesley was a retired Manager for McDonnell-Douglass and was a Master Carpenter by trade. He was also the former President of Hilltop Missionary Baptist
Church Deacon Board and a faithful member of the Booker T. Washington Club.

Mr. Moman "left with Angels to thine place of rest" on Monday morning, January 29, 2007 from his home in Tulsa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Artemus and Betty O. Moman, his loving and devoted wife, Essie Mae Moman and a daughter, Pamela Moman.

He leaves to cherish his memory; four children, Cynthia K. Hollier [Bernard], Debra E. Anderson [Julius], Wesley Moman, Jr., and Pattie Moman-Fleming [Manuel "Bo" Ridge]; twelve grandchildren, Joseph and Sparkle Fleming, Stephanie and James Hollier, Antonio, Charles and Barry Anderson, Tonya, Joshua, Anjuli, Samuel and Wesley Moman, III; fourteen great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services for Wesley will be Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 11 AM at The All Faith's Chapel. Visitation for Mr. Moman will be Thursday from 12 Noon until 7 PM at the funeral home in Tulsa. Burial will follow the service at Crown Hill Cemetery.
