Jowanna Eulain Jones, a beloved follower of Jesus and the best daughter and sister ever, joined Jesus on September 6, 2017 from Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Jowanna was born in Muskogee on February 15, 1966. She attended Hilldale Public Schools. After graduating from Hilldale High School, she attended Eastern State College in Wilburton, Oklahoma. Jowanna was one of the best softball players and basketball players, earning many trophies in both sports. She grew up in Muskogee, where she was a longtime member of Rayfield Baptist Church, serving the Lord as an Usher.
Her friends and family brought her great joy, lots of smiles and laughter. Just don't tell her what she can't have or do when she's in a "Jowanna" mood.
Jowanna worked for Sears and also for Muskogee Regional Medical Center during her lifetime. She loved to entertain in her own sweet, special way, until the very end. God Bless our beloved Jowanna. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. "Have you had your Jolly Rancher today?"
Miss Jones leaves to lament her passing; her mother, Billie Jones, Muskogee; her brother, Kevin [Dell] Jones, Muskogee; her sisters, Delois Jones, Muskogee and Laticia [Benjamin] Tucker, Colorado Springs, Colorado; her nieces, Brittany, Monica, Kendra and Tracey; her nephews, Benjamin, Kelly, Owen and Jermany; along with other relatives and friends.
We will share our farewell to Miss Jones on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the most Holy sanctuary of the Rayfield Baptist Church. The Pastor, Reverend Leroy Walker, Sr., will officiate. Burial will follow the service in the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, Oklahoma.
You may visit Jowanna, as she slumbers in sweet repose at the funeral home on Monday from 12 Noon until 1:00 PM and on Tuesday morning at the Church, beginning at
10:00 A.M.
