On June 3 rd , 1950, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, two twins (Joyce and George) were born to William and Mae Ollie (Scroggins) Grayson. Joyce was the 6 th child (being 10 minutes older than her twin brother, George) of the Grayson family.  Joyce was known by all her family and friends as "Sister".

Joyce "Sister" Fields accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Macedonia Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Raymond Nash.

Joyce grew up in Okmulgee, OK where she attended Banneker Elementary School and the Historic Dunbar High School, Class of 1968.  She went on to receive her associates degree from Okmulgee Tech where she met the love of her life Judson Fields Jr. They married in 1972 and to this union, they were blessed with 3 girls, Lynette, Stacey and Alkila. Joyce worked for Fansher, Stone & Hess and then First Community Insurance Agency for several years until her retirement in June 2017.

Joyce attended Macedonia Baptist Church where her husband, Rev. Judson Fields Jr. is the pastor.  Not only was she the First Lady of Macedonia, she was the Sunday School Superintendent and was active in the Women's Mission.  She was a faithful servant of God and always told of God's goodness whenever and where ever she could. Joyce loved her family but loved Jesus even more.  In fact, one of her last wishes was that all of her family would be saved.

Late Monday night on March 14, 2022 just after 11:30 p.m. Joyce Fields in her 71st year, dozed into everlasting peace from St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, OK.  She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mae Ollie Grayson, four sisters, Maxine Grayson, Elnetta Franklin, Mildred Wilson and Patricia Mosley, and one daughter, Lynette Ivey.

She leaves in God's care her husband, Pastor Judson Fields Jr; daughters, Stacey (William) Harris and Alkila Gray; five grandchildren, Jordan Ivey, Christian Ivey, Isaiah Harris, Vincent Harris and Laila Harris; her brother, Joe Grayson, her twin brother, George Grayson, her sister Dora Henry, and brother in law J.W. Mosley.  She also leaves a very special niece, Stephanie Hayes and her grandkids, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
