Judy May McGowan was born in Midland, Texas on December 13, 1952.
She moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma and then later to Beggs, Oklahoma, where she met the love of her life, Bonnie Checotah. Judy became a member of the First Baptist Church-South under the Pastorship of Reverend Curtis Lynch. She loved her church and was a faithful member until the Lord called her home.
Judy enjoyed flowers and kept a collection of pictures. She was an avid sports fan, hardly ever missing a Beggs basketball or football game.
In her 65th year, Judy M. McGowan went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by Bonnie Checotah, her mother, Mable McGowan, her grandmother, Cleo Campbell and her brothers.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her sons, Mark [Edrika] McGowan, Tulsa, OKlahoma and Willie McGowan, of the home in Beggs, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Kiston Thomas, Zhana McGowan, Marquise McGowan, Destiny Demery, Tee Tee Macklemore and Tony Macklemore; her great-grandson, Key'th Harris; her close freiend, Dwane Thompson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Her Hour of Remembrance will commence on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the most holy sanctuary of the First Baptist Church-South in Beggs, Oklahoma. Reverend Gregory Lewis, Pastor will officiate and Minister Princella Combs will give the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Tuskegee Cemetery in Edna, Oklahoma.
