IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karen
Rideau
December 13, 1956 – January 30, 2021
Mrs. Karen Rideau, after 64 years, surrendered her soul to Jesus on Saturday evening, January 30, 2021 from her home in Spencer, Oklahoma.
Karen Germaine Kimbro Rideau affectionately known as "SUPER" was born December 13th, 1956 in Oklahoma to Arthur and Joyce Kimbro. God called Karen home on Saturday, January 30th, 2021 from her home in Spencer, Oklahoma where she passed peacefully.
Karen graduated from Star Spencer High School class of 1974. She entered the workforce shortly after graduating high school. She had many accomplishments throughout her life. She held many professions over the years from working at Hern's Machinery for several years. She also worked at Hertz which became IBM global Services for 25 years where she retired in 2017. While working at Hertz she went back to school at Mid-America Christian University to obtain her Bachelor's degree in Management Information System and Ethics in 2009. She then continued to receive two Master's degrees one in Business Administration and another in Leadership in 2011 and 2013.
Karen accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Earl Booker at First Baptist Church of Green Pastures. Karen loved God and serving in the ministry with her late husband. She had a love for life and enjoyed travelling, crocheting, baking, and taking care of her family. Karen's smile could light up an entire room and had an infectious laugh. Her life was a living example of her favorite bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another just as God also forgave you in Christ."
Karen was united in marriage to Anthony Hubert Rideau Jr. on June 22, 1974. In 2014 they renewed their vows after 40 years of marriage both marriage and renewal were officiated by Pastor Raymond Wandick. She was truly a Proverbs 31 women. She was the epitome of what a wife, mother, and grandmother should be to her husband and children.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joyce and Arthur Kimbro, father- in- law Bishop H.A. Rideau Sr, brother-in-law Bernard Rideau, sister- in- law Azalia Ann Burrough and her loving husband Anthony Hubert Rideau Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Hubert Anthony III (DeAndria), Rodney (Jaye) Antoinette, Tenecia and Tiffany. Two sisters Deborah Guy and April (Gary) Jones. Mother-in- Law, Charlene Rideau, two sisters-in-law, Rosetta (Elbert) Craig and Cesiley Rideau. Three brothers-in-law, Rickey, Terry and Darwin. She had 11 grandchildren that she absolutely loved with all her heart. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Though we know our loss is heaven's gain. Super will be missed by all those she loved and touched deeply.
