In 1939, Earnest and Ida Yarbrough began the new year celebrating the arrival of a new son born to their family on January 12th in Leland Mississippi. He was named Kary.
Mr. Yarbrough grew into a loving man, who provided for his family through his labor as an independent contractor, possessing a variety of skills. His main purpose inlife was to love and support his family. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
He met and fell in love with Barbara Reid, who became the love of his life and they remained married for 48 years, with their love producing 5 children. He supported his wife's ministry and was baptized at a young age.
He transitioned from this life to eternal rest on March 18, 2007 in Birmingham, Alabama. Meeting him at the Pearly Gates; his wife, a son and five siblings.
Remaining to lament his death; his children, Kenneth W. Yarbrough, St. Louis, MO, Terry Yarbrough, Birmingham, AL, Sherry McDougle, Memphis, TN, Melanie Yarbrough, Muskogee, and Betty Taylor, Memphis, TN: 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Katy Love, Louise Simpson and Ida Mays; 2 brothers, Terry Yarbrough and Charles Yarbrough; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
The tribute will be on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Remembrance at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc. Reverend Johnny Harper, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Booker T. Washington Cemetery in Muskogee. You may visit Mr. Yarbrough, as he slumbers at the funeral home on Friday from 12 Noon to 6 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM to service time.
