On August 19, 1955, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, a beautiful baby girl was born, Kathalene Grant (Terrell), to Harvey Grant and Alberta McDowell. She was raised by her stepfather Xavier McDowell.

She attended Sadler Elementary and later graduated from the Muskogee High  School, Class of 1973. She earned her living working at Coburn Optical and later retiring from Georgia Pacific.

She attended services at Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall and Macedonia Baptist Church, and several other organizations. She never lost her faith in the Lord.

She enjoyed playing card games, but above all, her favorite was Solitaire. She became diagnosed with kidney failure in the year 2017; from there, she was a dialysis patient until her untimely death.

In her 65th year, Kathalene Grant Terrell dozed into the tranquil peace of eternal slumber on Thursday evening, June 24, 2021, in Muskogee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Johnny McDowell.

Kathalene leaves behind: one daughter, Katrina Gandy-Robinson; brother, Jerry Alexander; cousins, Juanita Vanhook, Juanetta Vanhook, Nicole Vanhook, Margie Vanhook, Sonnie Vanhook, Mona Vanhook, Thelma Vanhook, Nina Vanhook, Cyntilya Bell, Wenedra Bell, Carylon Vanhook, Sharie Vanhook, Annette McKinley, Betha Lee Jackson, Cindi Lou Jackson, Charletta Jackson, Mary Lou Jackson, Ronald Grant, Freda Grant, and Michael Lee Grant; and a host of cousins and friends.

A Funeral Ceremony will be shared on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the People's Chapel of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc.

Burial will immediately follow the services at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Tullahassee, Oklahoma.
