Kenney was the sixth child born to Edward Ousley, Sr. and Lucille Breedlove Ousley, in Tulsa, OK, October 10, 1943. He received his education in the Tulsa Public School system attending Booker T. Washington Elementary, Carver Jr. High, and Booker T. Washington High School. Boxing was always a passion of his and he pursued this after he enlisted in the United States Army. While serving in the Army, he was deployed to Germany. While there, he met and married Joyce Williams and to this union a daughter was born. After he was discharged from the military, he met and married Mary Ann Wallace and to this union a son was born. He bounced around from state to state pursuing a boxing career and finally settled in Tulsa. He worked with mentoring young boys at Keith Reed's Boxing School to prepare them for a boxing career. Kenney has won several trophies in boxing events he was involved in. He was employed at the Greenwood Cultural Center for many years and loved it. He loved his children and grandchildren and was a doting grandfather.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his Father, Edward Ousley, Sr. Mother, Lucille Breedlove Ousley, three brothers Edward Ousley Jr., Ronald Ousley, and John Willie Ousley and his longtime companion, Loretta Robinson.
Left to mourn his passing three daughters; Louella Bullard, OK, and Yolanda Lucas, Denver CO; Deangela Wallace, Tulsa; two sons, Kenneth Ousley, Jr., Tulsa and Virgil Wallace, Tulsa; Tulsa three sisters; Edwina Mabrie, Los Angeles, Algerita Jones, Los Angeles, and Yvonne Becknell (Florzell), Tulsa. Kenney also leaves his cherished grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be Tuesday February 4, 2014 at 11AM inside Biglow's All Faiths Chapel in Tulsa.
Friends may visit Mr. Ousley on Monday from 12Noon until 7PM in Tulsa.
