Mr. Kenneth R. Taylor, a resident of Broken Arrow, formerly of Muskogee, surrendered his soul on Thursday, October 7, 2010 from Tulsa.
Kenneth was born in Muskogee on March 24, 1957, where he began his education at Dunbar Elementary, continued at Sadler Jr. High School and ultimately Muskogee High School.
Also known as "Peasley", Kenneth went on the Serve and Protect his country in the United States Army, where he earned an honorable discharge. His Moto was "serving the Lord and family first." That is what he knew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ozias "Big Zeke" Taylor and Florene Taylor and his brothers, Johnnie Taylor and Larry Nelson.
He leaves to mourn his death; his loving wife of 36 years, Mildred J. Taylor, of the home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his two beautiful daughters, Kennesha R. Taylor, Grand Prairie, Texas and Melanie L. "MeMe" Taylor; his sisters, Sybil Taylor, Brenda Bogar and Lanesia Taylro, all of Muskogee, Oklahoma; his brothers, Ozias Taylor Jr., Willie Taylor, Tommie Taylor and Robert Taylor, all of Muskogee, Oklahoma; a caravan of nieces and nephews, his sisters-in-law, Loretta, Peaches, Yvonne, Linda, Christine, Helen, Tammie April and his brother-in-law, Al; along with other relatives and friends.
Service of Memory for Mr. Taylor will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the Ward Chapel AME Church of Muskogee. Reverend Richard Brooks, Pastor of Evangelistic Temple Baptist Church will officiate.
His cremains will be placed in the National Cemetery at Fort Gibson, with Military Honors on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 2:00 P.M.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 15, 2010 from 10 AM to 5 PM at the funeral home.
