A bouncing baby boy was born the last day of wintry January, 1978, to loving parents, Sandra and Kerry, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kerry attended Greeley Elementary School and Gilcrease Middle School, and graduated from Memorial High School. During his school days, he enjoyed Basketball and Football.
Kerry's employment included working for his father's construction company, Cowen Construction, as well as other construction companies. He also worked at St. Francis Hospital.
Kerry enjoyed a rich family life with a blended family. April 12, 2005 was a very special time—when Kerry and Kim were united in matrimony. He also enjoyed the time he spent with his children.
Waiting to greet Kerry with loving arms were his daughter, Kerisha, and sister, Leona. Those left to cherish memories of Kerry are wife, Kim, of the home; daughters, Krashaun and Kerionna (Tulsa); sons, Kerry, Jr., Marshawn, Kamerion, Meako, (all of Tulsa) and Adon (Dallas, TX); mother, Sandra Kay Ware (Inglewood, CA); father, Kerry (Tulsa); brother, Tyrese, (Tulsa); sisters, Lynn (Inglewood, CA), Rebecca, (Tulsa); aunts, Paulette Cowen (Tulsa) and Sharon Walker (Tulsa), and a host of relatives and friends.

Services will be Saturday December 8, 2012 at 11AM at Morning Star Baptist Church in Tulsa. Friends may view Mr. Mayfield on Friday from 10AM until 6PM, or during the wake at 6PM.
