Elder Kevin Carl Ross, after 65 years, "finished his course on Earth" on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from his home in Muskogee.
Kevin Carl Ross, Sr., would have celebrated his 66th birthday on Saturday, July 23, 2016.
Kevin dawned earth on July 23, 1950, into the arms of Vivian Joan Edwards at Rentiesville, Oklahoma. Mom Jo Ann was joined to John E. Ross, Sr., as they reared this man of God. During High School, he experimented with musical instruments; instruments such as the Saxaphone, Clarinet, Violin and some Piano before becoming a talented musician.
After High School graduation, in 1968, Kevin enlisted with the United States Air Force and with the help of God, the military developed a disciplined man, driven to seek God; therewith taken under the "Wings" of Bishop Elbert Webber and Mother McKinney, Elder Ross served God within evangelism travels and outreach ministries. Following this growth time, KEvin and several of his "Buddies" moved to Denver, Colorado to serve under Elder Reuben at Beecham House of Joy.
A graduate of Oral Roberts University, anointed Kevin moved to California and married Kathy Ross and this union birthed Gabrielle and Kevin Ross, Jr.
As he was seeking the Greater in God, Kevin was directed to Dallas, Texas to serve under Bishop Tony Evans at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. During his membership, he worked for this ministry as Director of PROJECT TURN AROUND, serving the entire Human needs and then he was promoted to Director of Housing and Redevelopment.
His Professional profile reflects numerous accomplishments, reflective of a man blessed by God; 25+ years in the housing field, licensed Realtor and Property Inspector, 25+ years in Social Services, Licensed Property Manager, Certified Housing Quality Standards Inspector, Broker/Owner of Triune Realty in Dallas, Texas and numerous other accolades too numerous to list.
In December of 2010, Kevin married his childhood sweetheart, Regina Webber and moved back to Muskogee, Oklahoma. Together, they continued to love God and one another and together, were faithful members of Divine Love Christian Fellowship in Muskogee.
Kevin was preceded in Glory by his mother, father, five brothers and a sister. He has left to rejoice in blessedness of life; his wife, Regina Webber-Ross, of the home in Muskogee, OK; three children, Stevie Craig, Oklahoma City, Kevin C. "K-C" Jr., and Gabriel; three grandsons and five granddaughters; five sisters, Pamela Borens, Muskogee, Rochelle Ross, Denison, TX, Alice Harris, Summit, OK, Denice Wade, Muskogee and Marjorie Ross, Dallas, TX; three brothers, Steven A. Ross, Denver, CO, Ronald J. Brinson, Phoenix, AZ and Roscoe H. Johnson, San Diego, CA; along with a caravan of other relatives, friends and spiritual kin who will cherish his memory. His defining personality and divinely inspired wisdom will be missed by all who knew him.
The Celebratory Worship Service for Elder Ross will commence on Friday morning, July 22, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. in the most Holy sanctuary of the Antioch Baptist Church, 500 West Broadway Avenue, in Muskogee. Dr. Marlon J. Coleman is the gracious host Pastor, and Bishop Michael Webber, Pastor of Divine Love Fellowship will Officiate.
The Christian Committal and Air Force Honors will be rendered at the National Cemetery at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma at 12 Noon.
