Mr. Kevin Wendell Shaw, in his 39th year, passed from this life on Sunday, June 21, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Kevin Wendell Shaw came into the world on June 28, 1975, the son of Roxanne Thompson and Emery Shaw. His mother would say he was very curious as a child and when he decided he wanted something, he was good about making plans on getting it.

Kevin grew up to be a strong and independent man. He was a good provider, fearless and outspoken at times and enjoyed helping those in need. Regardless of how large or small, if you needed it done and he could help, it was virtually guaranteed it was going to get done.

Kevin's kind and helpful spirit made him many friends and acquaintances. Those lucky enough to actually get to know him and be blessed with his creative mind, extensive knowledge on just about everything from cars, electronics, low-riders to welding, would find him to be a loyal friend and mentor. Kevin also loved music, his pit bull dog and making his own music in addition to re-building cars.

Kevin loved his family and friends and would mix the two by riding and checking on his mother and four brothers. He was a strong and caring father to his beautiful daughter, Zurri Shaw, who he loved more than anything. A true father, son, brother and friend, Kevin will truly be missed by those he loved.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his daughter, Zurri Shaw; his mother, Roxanne Thompson Kirkland; his brothers, Deon "Sam" Shaw, Damon Shaw, Nathan Shine and Herman "Jason" Shine, Jr.; a lifelong friend who was like a brother, Jason Drost, Enid, Oklahoma; a close friend, Eddie Walker, Muskogee, Oklahoma; 2 great-nephews, Endio Olive and LaJuan Cheeks; other nieces and nephews, Colby Wendell Shaw, Jaden Craig Thompson Shaw, Kanon Kruz Shaw, Samantha Shaw, Gerald Shaw and Sameera Shaw; along with other relatives and friends.

The Service of Remembrance for Kevin will be on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Remembrance of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., in Muskogee. Reverend Jamie Powell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee.
