IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kimberly Lyons
Anderson
January 24, 1978 – December 25, 2016
On January 24, 1978, Nathan Griffin and Darlene Lyons welcomed a beautiful baby girl whom they named Kimberly Dawn. Kim grew up in Okmulgee, Oklahoma where she graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1997. After high school, she graduated with a cosmetology degree from 4-States Okmulgee Academy of Cosmetology and later received an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from OSU-IT in April 2016.
Kim grew up listening to her grandmother Mattie Lyons reading the Bible and praying. At an impressionable age, Kim accepted Christ at New Salem Baptist Church in Okmulgee under the leadership of Rev. Melvin Wallace. She continued to grow in her walk with Christ when she became a member of Love International Christian Ministries. Kim was active in the Daughter of Zion, Drama Ministry, Kitchen Ministry, Youth Drill Team and shared her talent of dancing with the Youth Praise Dancers. On May 25, 2016, Kim married Ron Anderson. There were no children born to this union. Ron had six children from a previous marriage, Naomi Ray, Willie Ray, Daniel Ray, Rocquille Ray, Ronda Gibson and Monique Gibson.
Kim's passion was dancing! She began her own dance/drill team named Mug Town Stompers (MTS). Kim always used her Facebook to express her devotion and inspiration about God where she wasn't afraid to tell people about her journey as a child of God. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, step-mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to so many people.
Kim was preceded in death by her motherly grandmother Mattie Lyons.
She leaves in God's care: her husband Ron Anderson of the home, parents Nathan Griffin, Darlene and Willie Fisher, sisters: Dana (Maurice) Hanson, Toilicia Griffin, brother Brandon Fisher, nieces: Courtney Hanson, Tiara Henry, Terraka Huddleson, Dakaree Hanson, Kennedy Smith, Mariah Fisher and one nephew, Kendel Smith, grandparents: Charles and Nannye Talton, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
