Mr. Knolah Jackson, Jr. departed this earth on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from Eufaula, Oklahoma at the age of 69.
Knolah Jackson, Jr. was born in Denison, Texas on October 25, 1950 to his parents Knolah Jackson, Sr. and Izenatta Nita Porter Jackson. Knolah, Jr. attended and graduated from Muskogee's Manual Training High School in 1969.
He joined the military and served as a proud PFC in the United States Marine Corps—SEMPER FIDELIS. As a Marine he spent time in the Philippines as a Medic during the Vietnam Era. Following his time with the Marine Corps, he attended Northeastern State University as well as Indian Capital Vo-Tech. Knolah, Jr. worked in the healthcare field for more than 23 years, which included the Muskogee Veterans' Affairs Medial Center, Parkland Hospital in Dallas, and work as an EMT.
Knolah, Jr. also had a passion for animals. He spent time as a Veterinary Assistant and operated a Canine Boarding Kennel. Many years of Knolah, Jr.'s life was spent breeding and raising Alaskan Malamute dogs. He also loved caring for fish, and growing plants and flowers.
Always the people person, Knolah, Jr. was pleasant to those he met. He helped others, even when he needed help himself. He was a proud Marine, an intelligent and thoughtful man who held onto many quotes. Some of the quotes he enjoyed include:
"People don't care how much you know until they can feel how much you care!"
"Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see."
"Don't cheat yourself out of a future because of your past—don't cheat yourself out of love!"
Knolah, Jr. is preceded in death by his mother, Izenatta Jackson; his brother David Jackson; and his two sisters Barbara Gail Jackson and Shirley Ann Jackson-Johnson.
BaBrother (Knolah, Jr.) loved his family with a passion. Still remembering and feeling his love are: his three sons Sean Underwood, JoJo Brown and Adrian Jackson; his grandchildren; his father Knolah Jackson, Sr. of Muskkogee, OK; his brothers James Porter (Pat) of Oklahoma City, Nathaniel Jackson, Sr. and (Kathy) of Georgetown, TX; his two sisters Betty Toney (Glenn) of Dallas, Ida Jackson of Oklahoma City and many nieces and nephews.
The Final Hour with Mr. Jackson will be on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the People's Chapel of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc. in Muskogee. Burial will follow in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma at 1:00 PM.
You may visit Mr. Jackson on Thursday from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
