IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kyrrhl "Marcus"
Henderson
October 12, 1968 – August 26, 2018
Kyrrhl LaMarcus Henderson was born in Tulsa Oklahoma on October 12, 1968 to Rubye Jean McClellan-Henderson and Buck Henderson. 'Marcus' attended high school at McLain High School in Tulsa. His mother, Rubye, later married LeRoy Gilbert. The family continued to reside in Tulsa attending church at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Sand Springs for many years.
As a young adult Marcus made choices that were not always the best choices, but he owned them all the same and grew through the process. As he matured he focused on more productive objectives. He completed training at Career Tech and attained the ranking of Journeyman and Utility Contractor. He loved his work and excelled in his performance on the job and on side jobs, frequently posting photos of his finished work on social media.
Was he PERFECT? Not by a loooooong shot! Was he an original? You better believe it! He could walk into a room open his mouth and all eyes were on him! He gave a unique name and had an original line for everyone he knew. He was kind by nature and his default was good. He loved all people and people adored him. He learned from his mistakes and shared his wisdom with others. He was a son who loved his mother; he was a big brother and a little brother. He was a caring interactive father, a nephew and everybody's favorite cousin! You couldn't stay angry at him and you couldn't be angry around him. Everywhere his foot hit, life lit up! He moved fast and talked faster and used every drop of sunlight in a day. He was a licensed journeyman plumber by trade, skilled in carpentry and ever so proud of his work! He felt good about himself and good about others. His personality was magnetic and his energy was high. Every day was a good day he said, because "we're living our best life!"
We're going to miss your spirit Marcus and your vibrations on the earth, but we'll love you forever right through all of our hurts.
Marcus was preceded in death by his father, Buck Henderson. He leaves to mourn his passing his mother, Rubye Jean McClellan-Gilbert, a son, Kyrrhl LaMarcus Henderson Jr. and a daughter, Khia Destiny Henderson of Tulsa, three brothers born to his mother, Darren McClellan, Roderick McClellan and Nikko (Red) Henderson of Tulsa, one grandson, Kyhler Henderson and one granddaughter, Ka'myah Henderson. He also leaves to mourn three siblings born to his father Wanda, Anita and Chris Henderson of Kansas City, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and friends.
