Lamar Gene Fultz was born on March 5, 1974 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the son of Larry G. and Janet S. Fultz. He was one of two children from this union.
Lamar attended elementary school in Wichita, Kansas before moving to Oklahoma City, where he attended Harding Middle School. He then moved to Langston, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Coyle High School in 1992. He enjoyed playing basketball with his friends there in Langston.
After graduation from High School, Lamar attended Langston University for two years, during which time he met and fell in love with Ebony L. Hill. They were united in marriage in 1999 and their union was blessed with three children. Tierra Lashawn, Tionne Jean and Sadie Nicole. Lamar truly loved his familya nd was a devoted and loving father.
Lamar had a great sense of humor and was always smiling. He was a compassionate young man and his love for people led him to a career as a Mental Health Technician. He worked for Gateway Foundation for over 10 years. He was loved both by the residents as well as co-workers.
Lamar enjoyed life. He was a avid sports fan and was recently attending Tulsa Community College with a major in Broadcast/journalism with the hopes of becoming a sports writer/boradcaster. He was a devoted fan of the New Orleans Hornets and enjoyed attending Tulsa Drillers baseball games. He was also a passionate lover of music and electronics, often competing with his mother for the latest gadgets.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife, Eboy L. [Hill] Fultz; his three daughters, Tierra, Tionne and Sadie, all of the home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his sister, Tracie Fultz [Jamal] Townsend; a niece, TaJyaunna Carter, San Diego, California; his parents, Larry G. Fultz, Joplin, Missouri and Janet S. Fultz, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his extended family, his grandmother, Alma Fultz, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; his aunts and uncles, Marva L. Madison, David Fultz, Ben and Rita Gissandaner and Beverly Griffin; his cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin G. Fultz, Archie P. Madison and Evelyn L. Madison.
The final hour with Mr. Fultz will be on Tuesday, March 12, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. in the All Faiths Chapel of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Tulsa. Evangelist Marva L. Madison will officiate. Burial will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery.
