Lantz Ellis Kemp passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 40. He was born on April 18, 1986, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Annetta Custer of Okay, Oklahoma.

Lantz graduated from Okay High School and dedicated much of his life to mentoring and coaching young athletes. He had a deep passion for sports and was known for encouraging and inspiring those around him both on and off the field.

Lantz shared his life with his loving partner, Jessica Laymon of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Together, they built a loving family and raised their children: Ayden Kemp, Adlee Kemp, Easton Laymon, and Swayz Kemp, all of Muskogee, Oklahoma.

He enjoyed coaching sports, fishing on the river, and trading sports cards. Lantz will be remembered most for his contagious smile, unforgettable laugh, and the joy and energy he brought to every room. His love for life, family, and sports left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

Lantz is survived by his mother, Annetta Custer of Okay, Oklahoma; his sisters, Linzee Custer, Stephanie Dowling, and April Dowling, all of Muskogee, Oklahoma; his children, Ayden Kemp, Adlee Kemp, Swayz Kemp, and Easton Laymon; his loving partner, Jessica Laymon; his grandson, Jasiah Dedmon; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Kayleigh Dowling, Jaylen Dowling, Duckee Swimmer, Maximus Mike, Kamyrn Mike, Chevy Dowling, Airryus Stroder and Daphnee Kizzia.

The Hour of Remembrance for Lantz will commence on Saturday afternoon, May 30, 2026 at High Noon in the Okay Public Schools Gymnasium, in Okay, Oklahoma and Pastor Joe Rentie will preside.
