Mr. Larry J. Constantine, in his 67th year, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Redondo Beach, California.
In the year of 1952, on the 8th day of August, the 5th child, a son, was born from the union of Otto and Lujulia Constantine, Sr., in Muskogee, Oklahoma. They named him Larry Joe. He was his parent's pride and joy. Larry loved his mother dearly and they had a special, fun loving relationship that meant so much to him.
He attended Muskogee Public Schools, beginning at Langston Elementary in Reeves Addition, then Sadler Jr. High School and ultimately the Historic Manual Training High School, graduating from Muskogee High School with the Class of 1971.
Larry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church in Muskogee, under the Pastoral guidance of Reverend Tommy McFrazier. He attended Church faithfully until leaving Muskogee after graduating from high school and moving to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
In 1974, Larry entered the United States Army and received an honorable discharge, later moving to Seattle, Washington, where he worked for Boeing Aircraft. After leaving Boeing Aircraft, he returned to Oklahoma City and later moved to Arizona for a short period of time and then on to Redondo Beach, California, where he met his longtime companion and friend, Betty Campbell.
Mr. Constantine had two beautiful children and he loving named his daughter Angela Renee and his son, Marcus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Kenneth, Ronnie and Otto Jr.
Those left to cherish his emories; his daughter, Angela Renee Constantine [Henry], Arlington, Texas; his son, Marcus Marry, Texas; a brother, Charles Howard Constantine, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Geraldine Louise Constantine, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Denise Garcia [Joseph], Indianapolis, Indiana; a loving grandson, Kyndell Constantine; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He also leaves a special companion and friend.
The Time to Reflect for Mr. Constantine will commence on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Antioch Temple of Hope Church. Dr. Marlon J. Coleman is the gracious host and Reverend Aundrea Jones, Pastor of Old Agency Baptist Church will officiate.
The Final Salute will be on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, with military honors and the Christian Committal ceremony.
You may visit Mr. Constantine, as he slumbers in peaceful repose at the funeral home on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
