Mr. Larry Hearns, age 76 and a resident of Lawrenceville, Georgia, formerly of Boynton, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 18, 2012.
Lothyette Hearn Sr. was born in Boynton Oklahoma , March 26, 1935 , the son of Leroy Hearn and Rosie Brown Hearn. He lived in California, but often returned to Oklahoma, which he called home. He most recently resided in Lawrenceville , Georgia with his daughter, Cathy Armstrong and her family. Prior to living in Georgia , Mr. Hearn had returned to Boynton , Oklahoma, where he lived with his sister Erma Jean Goode for several years. He called her "Sister".
He had a funny and wonderful sense of humor and often enjoyed a good laugh or joke and could easily make you laugh. He was good natured, big hearted, fun-loving and loved spending time with his family. He was a loving father, brother and grandpa who will be loved and missed immensely in our hearts. He enjoyed desserts, especially ice cream everyday- just like his mom and grandma Sisters, and most of his children. He would always say he'll be 39 on his Birthday every year.
His daughter, Faye will miss sitting around playing cards and staying up late night - playing solitaire when she knew she had to work the next day. Now, his daughter, Cathy says she will be "39" on her Birthday every year. His daughter, Sherri often called him "Old Man" She would say "Come on old man" and they would both be grinning. He often called his children by their first and middle names, Robert Charles, Connie Lenell, etc. One of his sayings was "once a man, twice a child". He encouraged his children to pursue education and work for themselves. He also encouraged them to pay themselves first and save 10cents out of every dollar. We can still hear him and we are all so grateful for the times we spent with him. We will miss him dearly and love him always. His son, Lawrence enjoyed the Gin & Tonic drinks they shared and has vowed to continue on his own. His daughter, Rose also loved drinking with her dad. His sons, Lothyette Hearn, Jr., and Robert have both started their own businesses and are on that path. His sisters are very grateful to have had him back home in Oklahoma for that special time in their lives. He had two unions of marriage during his lifetime.
