LaTonia was born in Tulsa, Ok on December 23, 1968 to John Cohens and Joyce Ann Woods. Sadly, she lost her parents at a very young age, although she faced those difficult losses, she found a way through it.

While growing up she was resilient, strong minded, ambitious, and remarkably smart. She had dreams of becoming a judge. She graduated from McClain High School and went to school for criminal justice which she later began working as a Sheriff for Tulsa County.

Ms. LaTonia L. Cruell,  in her 53rd year, Transitioned to Everlasting Rest on Wednesday, January  19, 2022 in Muskogee.

She leaves behind her siblings LaTasha Carter, and Eric Woods, 2 daughters; LaJoya Cohens and Jade Cruell, 3 grandchildren; Azja Cohens, Alijah Brooks, and Ameliyah Cohens, 11 nieces and nephews, great aunts, cousins, and friends.

The Hour of Remembrance for LaTonia will be on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 12:00 PM in the All Faiths Chapel of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc-Tulsa.
