On August 19, 1965 in Houston, Texas, Bernice Cook and Robert Daniels delivered a precious bundle of joy into the world.  They named their bouncing baby girl Lavisa Nelle Daniels.

Growing up in Houston, she graduated from Sterling High School before attending The University of Texas.

Lavisa would meet and marry Huey Lynn, Jr. on April 13, 1988.  Even though Lavisa had 7 children and a husband, she was able to return to school and complete a nursing program to become a LPN.  She worked as a Nurse for University Village owned by Oral Roberts University.  Lavisa's compassion and detail for nursing made each of her patients feel special and loved.  Although Lavisa loved her patients, her real passion was cooking home cooked meals from scratch for her family and friends, as well as anyone in need.  Her reputation for cooking made her very well known in the community and surrounding areas.

On April 9, 2017 her Earthly Chapter came to a Peaceful Close in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Her Father Robert Daniels, Sr., and sister Mary Jane Daniels-Strange preceded her in death.  Remaining to cherish her precious memory: her husband of the home, Huey Lynn, Jr. children: Huey Lynn, III, Shoshanna Lynn, Benaiah Lynn, Josiah Lynn, Trinity Lynn, and John Lynn, mother Bernice Daniels, siblings, Robert Daniels, Jr. (Betty), Calvin Frederick Daniels, Cheryl Lynn Daniels-Gayle, Syntha M. Daniels-James (Percy), Bernita A. Daniels-Wright (Willie), mother in-law Carolyn R. Walker, sister in-law Trina and Dwayne Jones, and brother in-law Tyrone and Rhonda Lynn, along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws.

Services will be Friday April 14, 2017 at 10AM inside Biglow's All Faiths Chapel in Tulsa.

Friends may visit Mrs. Lynn on Thursday from 1PM until 7PM in Tulsa.
