Lawrence Cleo Jamerson Sr. was born on August 21, 1952, to Willie Lee Jamerson Sr. and Almarie Brown Jamerson in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Lawrence was the oldest of eight (8) children and known to many by the nick name of (Pookie). He was preceded in death by a host of uncles, aunts, his father, two brothers, and grandparents. He attended Manual Training in Muskogee to the eleventh grade. He later completed his GED.

Lawrence met and married Rhonda Jones at a young age. Three (3) children were born to that marriage Lawrence Jones, LaRhonda Jones, and Frank Jones. He attended Deans Chapel Baptist Church of Muskogee, Oklahoma where he joined and sang in the church choir. That marriage was dissolved and later he met and married Phyllis Ann (McCarn) in the year of 2004 and later dissolved in 2014.

His career began at the Eastgate Village Nursing Home for a short term then he was hired at the Muskogee Regional Medical center where he worked for more than twenty years. Then he was hired at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he worked and retired as a Medical Support Assistant (MSA).

Lawrence was escorted from life to glory on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Saint Francis hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma at 3:45 pm, with his brother Ronnie by his side, his transition was peaceful as he didn't complain and he was ready to go home.

Lawrence leaves to cherish his memory, His mother Almarie Jamerson of Muskogee Ok. Two (2) sons Lawrence Cleo Jones of Claremore, and Frank Jones and LaRhonda Jones of Muskogee Oklahoma. Three Sisters Carolyn Carmichael and Donna Anderson of Muskogee, and Marjorie (Arlander) Deloney of Moore, Oklahoma. Two brothers Marvin Jamerson and Ronnie Jamerson both of Muskogee, Oklahoma. 27 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

The Hour of Remembrance for Mr. Jamerson will commence on Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Tenth Hour in The People's Chapel of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc.,-Muskogee.

You may visit Lawrence, as he slumbers in peaceful repose on Thursday, July 21, 2022 between the hours of 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM in The People's Chapel of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Muskogee.

The Christian Committal will follow the service in the Citizens Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
