On Tuesday, November 5, 2019, God plucked one of his delicate flowers to join his garden.
The third child born to Alfred Sr., and Dorothy Louise (Weaver) Barnett, Lee Barnett entered their lives on February 12, 1952, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He was baptized at an early age at Vernon A.M.E. Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lee graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1970.
He met and married Margaret Norton, and to this union, a daughter was born; they named her Katrina.
Lee worked for The City of Tulsa for 17 years and OSU Medical Center. He retired in 2014. Lee loved to watch sports, but basketball and football were his first loves. He also enjoyed playing dominoes and loved music.
Those preceding him in death: His father, Alfred Barnett, Sr., mother, Dorothy, brother, Alfred Barnett, Jr., and beloved friend, Agnes Madden.
He leaves in God's care: one daughter, Katrina (Anthony) Harkley of Clinton, MD; two granddaughters, Alexia and
Amaya; three siblings, Patricia (Marvin), Alphonzo, and Doris (Claude); three nieces, Tanika (Richard) Traylor,
Shanta (Brandon) Gray, and Keisha Fary, all of Tulsa,OK; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services and Burial for Mr. Lee Anthony Barnett are scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11 AM in the Tulsa chapel.
Burial will be immediately following the services at Green Acres Memorial Gardens in Skiatook.
You may visit Mr. Barnett on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 1 PM to 6 PM in our Tulsa chapel.
