In Muskogee, Oklahoma, a baby boy was born from the union of Leroy and Onovella [Lee] Titsworth on May 13, 1945. They named him Lee Roy.
At an early age, he accepted Christ and attended Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Affectionately referred to by "Bum" from family and friends, after reaching adulthood, Lee Roy began working for the City of Muskogee and after a short while, he decided to move to Detroit, Michigan.
