Mr. Leo R. Williams, in his 64th season of life, made his transition from life to everlasting on Sunday night, January 10, 2015 from the Jack C. Montgomery Veteran's Administration Regional Medical Center in Muskogee.
On November 3, 1951, in Muskogee Oklahoma, a baby boy was born from the union of Mr. & Mrs. Leo Williams. They named him Leo R. Williams Jr.
Leo, who was better known as "Tiny." grew up in Muskogee, where he attended Muskogee Public Schools. He graduated in 1970 from Historic Manual Training High School, which is now known as Sadler Arts Academy. He played football for Manual and also took up mechanics under Mr. McCormick. Later, he attended Connor State College, which did not work out. From there, he enlisted in the United States Army for several years before he was discharged honorably.
He was employed by Discount Tires (Wiseman Brothers) for several years. If you knew Tiny, you also knew he loved working on cars, trucks and anything that had a motor in it. He also loved motor cycles as well. His pleasure time was spent with his horses that he loved. He would also make it to all the rodeos
Tiny did that until his accident in the late 70's, at which time his parents took care of him. His mother, Della Mae passed away in 1983, so his father continued to take care of him, with help from his cousin, Carolyn Green and friends until he passed away in 1986.
From there, his little cousin continued on to take care of him, with the help of Mickey Reed, until his health deteriorated, at which point it was just his little cousin who continued to take care of him with the help of her family and friends. Tiny's favorite words to say to people was "hey fool," among other words, but that was Tiny and if you knew him, you know what I am saying. I'm just keeping it real, because that was Tiny.
In the year of 2008, Tiny's health had changed to the point where his residency was moved to Eastgate Village Retirement Center of Muskogee Oklahoma, until he was called home on Jan. 10, 2016 at 9:25 P.M. from the Jack C. Montgomery V. A. Regional Medical Center.
Preceding him in death were parents Leo Sr. and Della Mae[Jolly] Williams, nephew, uncles, aunts and other relatives.
Remaining to mourn his passing; his very close and faithful little cousin Carolyn Green and family Kobe(son) & Nyia(daughter) Green, Nick Robinson, Muskogee, Ok, Harriette Jr.(Stephaine) Green, Killen Tx, Deborah Green Debose, Tulsa Ok, Robert(Ann) Green, Tulsa, OK,
