Leon Staggers
In the sweet community of Okmulgee, Oklahoma a son was born to Lula Mae and Lovell Staggers. Leon arrived on November 23, 1944. Forever and a day he has always been God's child. Leon graduated from the great Dunbar High School with the Class of 1963 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. After the service, he came to work as a manager of Terrace Manor Apartments.

He was a well-known musician for several churches in the Okmulgee and Tulsa area…That was his calling and he loved it.

On Sunday morning, December 15, 2013 Leon was called home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents Lula Mae and Lovell Staggers, a sister Lucille and a brother Lovell. He leaves to keep close two sisters and two brothers: Lindsey Staggers (Liz), Houston, TX, Johnny Staggers (Zee), Okmulgee, OK, Kathryn Henry (Robert), Broken Arrow, OK, and Bessie Gilstrap, Desoto, TX, very special nieces: Tijuana, Rochelle, Robbie, and Felicia, great nieces: Kaelyn, Gabby, and Anya, and other nieces, nephews, Stuart, a cousin, Duz, along with a caravan of friends.

Services for Mr. Leon Staggers will be Saturday December 21, 2013 at 11AM at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Friends may visit Mr. Staggers in Okmulgee from 12Noon to 5PM in Okmulgee.
