LeRoy ''Neckbone'' Record Sr., 69, of Muskogee, Oklahoma,  passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in the comfort of his home.

He was born November 5, 1948 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Lewis and Daisy Mae Record (Jefferson). He lived most of his life in Oklahoma City and Muskogee.

''Neckbone'' was a hard-working family man who loved spending time with his family and friends; he enjoyed watching football, cooking, swimming, and fishing. LeRoy graduated from Douglas High School in Oklahoma City in 1967 and worked 13 years for the City of Oklahoma City. When he came to Muskogee in the 1980s, he started working at Muskogee Fence and worked throughout Muskogee until 2010 before he retired from Proform as a Welder.

In May 2000, LeRoy met Nancy Richerson through their work at Broadway Manor Nursing Home, where he worked as a maintenance man, they married March 11th, 2016.  During this relationship, he became a father to her 3 children and a grandfather to her 6 grandchildren. He lived his life making memories with all his family and friends throughout the years; the memories we made with the one-man bone, "Neckbone," allows us to remember the days we were blessed to have spent with him while on this earth and we look forward to seeing him in the air. He knew no strangers and was there for us when we needed him.  He will be missed but never forgotten.

Mr. Record is survived by his wife Nancy Record, his 3 children, Leroy R. Record Jr., Dara Lynn Todd, Maurisa Lynnette Jenkins; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Over the years, he became a father, grandfather and great grandfather to more children;  Antonial ''Tony'' Carter, wife Angel, children Aislynn Graves, Tavia Carter, Brihanna Carter, Alesia Carter; Demetres Carter, children Rian ''Chaquinta'' Youngblood, Tommeshia Carter, Jamese Thomas, Micheal Thomas; Demita Carter-Green husband Larry Green, children Ceanti Aldridge, A'Shondre Stout, A'Shawnti Stout; Antowine Milton, children Samantha Milton (Anayah), Robert '' Devon'' Krogan (Emma & Leenah), Marika Day, Justice Milton, Audrey Milton, Antowine Milton Jr., Asa Milton; Deontre Youngblood, son of Shawn; Elizabeth Richerson; Rebecca Spencer, children Isaiah Carey, Breana Carey, Alonzo Spencer, Avery Spencer; Eric Richerson, wife Tasha, children Christopher French and Nicole French. Brother to John ''Newbe'' Pollard and Marvin ''Byrd'' Moore; along with many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, daughter Deonga ''Shawn'' Duncan, and other family members and friends.

Service of Memory for Mr. Record will be on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM, a graveside ceremony in the Greenhill Cemetery, 1500 North York Street in Muskogee.  Dr. Marlon J. Coleman, Pastor of The Antioch Church will officiate.
